Pilates Classes

This is a technique invented 70 years ago by Joseph H. Pilates. It focuses on improving flexibility and strength for the overall body, but doesn't build bulk. More than just exercise, pilates are a series of controlled movements to engage one's body and mind.


Pilates (Combo) A combination of Mat 1 and Mat 2 Pilates exercises. Appropriate for beginner and intermediate level participants.

  • Instructor: St. James Staff
  • Location: St. James Club
  • Class fee: $65 for 7 classes
  • Days: Monday
  • Time: 10:30 AM


Pilates (Mat 2) This intermediate/advanced Pilates class focuses on core strengthening exercises and breathing techniques to bring your spine and body into proper alignment as well as improve balance, posture, flexibility and muscular strength. (Prior participation in Pilates Mat 1 is strongly recommended before taking this class.

  • Class fee: $65 for 7 classes
  • Days: Wednesdays (9:30 AM) or Thurdays (7:30 PM)
