The Youth Baseball & Softball program emphasizes teaching children the fundamentals of the game of baseball & softball while working together in a team atmosphere. Fill your child's Summer months full of fun and learning through the Youth Baseball & Softball program.

We offer boys and girls tee ball, lob ball, modified pitch, baseball and girls slow pitch softball.
TEAM FORMATION
Teams are formed according to the elementary school district in which you reside. Special requests for specific coaches, and teammates will be considered, however we are unable to make any guarantees. Please note: registrants are placed on a team of no more then 15 players; therefore registration is based on a first-come first-served basis. If at any grade level from your home school, there are too many registrations for one team and not enough for a second team, the latest registrants are placed on other school teams where room permits.
PRACTICES
Practices begin the week of April 23 or when weather permits. Players are contacted by their coach as soon as the teams are formed. During the pre-season, teams practice twice per week: once during the week and once on the weekend. When the season begins, teams will play two games per week and practice once per week. If you do not hear from a coach by May 1st, please contact us at 882-1500.
Uniforms are handled by the coach and the cost is separate from the registration fee.
Parents are required to participate with their child’s team.
Options include:
Coach – Head coach of child’s team.
Assistant – Assist the coach in activities.
Practice – Help at practices.
Coordinator – Helps with team snacks, uniforms, photos, awards, etc.
Levels of Play
TEE BALL is an introductory program, played with a batting tee to help develop children’s skills.
LOB BALL is underhand coach pitch.
MODIFIED PITCH is kid/coach pitch.
BASEBALL is for fourth grade boys, players pitch.
NOVICE GIRLS is slow pitch softball.
JUNIOR GIRLS is slow pitch softball.

Weekday games start no earlier than 5:30, Weekend games are played between 9:00am & 4:00pm. |
Baseball/Softball games will NOT conflict with SYSA Soccer games.
SEASON DATES
Week of April 21 - Practice times begin.
Week of May 20 - Games begin for all divisions.
Week of July 14 - Grades K – 3 season ends.
Week of July 14 - Grades 4 – 6 tournament.
Registration Deadline: Thursday, March 20, 2008
Registration Fee: $65 (does not include uniform)
Late Fee: $10 per player additional
